Teresa on Google!

Hello all,

For the first time ever, I decided to 'google' my name to find out what randomness might be on the internet.  Little did I know that I would find myself!

Regards to all!

Teresa - Origins

Origin of the name Teresa:

Of uncertain etymology, Teresa is generally believed to be derived from the Greek therizein (to reap, to gather in) and thus takes the definition of “harvester.” The first known bearer of the name was the Spanish wife of St. Paulinus, a 5th century Roman bishop of Nola. Teresa was not used outside the Iberian Peninsula until the 16th century, when the fame of St. Teresa of Avila (1515—82) made the name popular among Roman Catholics throughout Europe. Var: Tereza, Theresa. Pet: Teri, Terri, Terry

Thank you Mother Teresa!

She said it best:

"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It never was between you and them anyway." --Mother Teresa

Teresa...... an Angel????????????

Well, I'm not sure that I can live up to this standard........
Teresa as an angel?

While I try to be a giving, caring earthly individual,
I'm not sure that I can live up to these standards.

But at least I can use Seraphim's example as my model!

The Seraphim angel collection includes a beautiful
angelic figure whose name is....you guessed it....Teresa!

And on this Easter 2010 weekend, what better way to
remember the real reason for the celebration.....even
if the angel's name is Teresa!!!
Why can't we all live by this statement?  This Teresa is developing it as my new motto!

“It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.”
—Mother Teresa
